In 1996 a significant internet presence was established and these internationally respected products led the way with their online editions which now attract millions of visitors each year.
Whilst data provision was a core activity – and fundamental to the growth of the bespoke Data-on-Disk product – an expansion into frequency publishing commenced in September 1998 with the launch of Air Cargo Week, still the air cargo industry’s only worldwide circulation weekly newspaper offering global editorial content with high topicality.
The success of this title together with the rapid growth of the Chinese economy, led to the subsequent launch of Air Cargo China Monthly, the only air cargo newspaper published in the Chinese language. Both of these publications are also available in digital format.
During the last ten years many other products have been added to the Group’s portfolio such as The Air Cargo Diary and a range of annual Yearplanners, but one of the most important developments has been into the area of exhibition and conference organisation. Working in cooperation with Munich International Trade Fairs the Air Cargo Europe Exhibition and Conference was launched in 2003 on a bi-annual cycle, alternating with the Air Cargo China event which was launched the following year.
These two important events now also host the highly acclaimed annual ACW World Air Cargo Awards, the first of which took place in 2007, as well as providing a unique environment for ACW Daily News which is published every day at major events around the world. Similarly official show catalogues are produced for conferences and exhibitions in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
The defence sector is catered for by a number of powerful information products. In 2008, responding to the rapidly changing global situation, Homeland Security was launched and is fast becoming the leading information source for security products and services.
All these titles also have digital editions, supplying a growing list of advertisers with many new prospective customers.
